Keep an eye out for these guys. A group of 4th year design students are contributing to a blog together and they have some good taste. I’ve been looking through they’re posts and wondering why I haven’t posted about them myself.
I recently became aware of one of the most profound, scholarly and insightful doctrines in design history.
The brilliant inspiration of Nietzsche’s allegories into the manifesto of Post Typography in Baltimore takes this writing into a new level of ass-kickingly amazing. Everyone has heard the amazing Ellen Lupton push for democratic design, but there has never been such a convincing rhetor of liberation of society in terms of design. This is anti-elitism at its best and after pushing for a democratic view, there are still clients who value their work without having to put it on a pedestal of elitism.
Well, don’t take it from me, read it here.
